How in the world am I supposed to choose just one topic? My thought process for the night is something along the lines of:
BenedictXVIisretiringandIamjustsobadatfastingIcannotstandthissillyHallmarkholidayheisthefirstpopetoretirein600yearsseriouslyhowdopeoplefastIneedtoeateveryfourtosixhourswillyoustopkissingIjustwantodrinkmycoffeeandgetoutandHeyGirlitsRyanGosling!
In summary;
- I am actually very impressed with our Holy Father for announcing his retirement, and am extremely curious as to who our new Pope will be! Will he be Brazilian, Turkish, Nigerian, maybe even Canadian? I just hope the conclave doesn't take too long! Expect a real post about this sometime around February 28th, when our Holy Father is officially retired.
- Ash Wednesday was yesterday, which means Lent has begun. I am seriously so terrible at fasting, I don't eat obscene amounts of food but I do eat four to five small meals a day, how do I fast on that? Also, what did you give up and add to your Lenten experience? Did you leave your ashes on your forehead or take them off? Expect a post on Sunday about ashes, prayer, fasting, and alms-giving on Sunday.
- Valentine's Day? Really not my thing. If February fourteenth is the one day a year you really make your partner feel special, I think you need to re-evaluate your relationship. Don't expect a post about Valentine's Day.
- I am in love with the Ryan Gosling "Hey Girl" memes that are all over Pinterest. Check out the new link to a board literally covered in him, and other great Catholic pins!
As always,
Totus tuus,
LeAnn
